This post is for hester , who was wanting my recipe for deer jerky. Well, here it is.
First, get yourself a leg of deer, they typicaly come three or four to a package and you can use either one or all of them for this recipe.
Next, whack the meat off the leg bone. Good butchering skills come in handy here, but are by no means needed to properly prepare jerky.
After that get out every herb and spice that you own out of the cabinet. Then liberally apply the seasoning.
The next step is to pour your beer of choice over the seasoned meat and marinate for the next 12 to 120 hours.
After the meat has been properly marinated throw it on to the dehydrator and leave it there for the next few days, until the jerky becomes hard and dry.
There you go. Now you can make deer jerky like a pro. Good luck and have fun.
